Assistant Manager, Data Management, Analysis and Research, OIE
Key Responsibilities:

Data Management
  • Implement policies for effective management of data pertaining to NTU's international activities
  • Optimise and maintain databases and data collection systems and implement data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Implement and enhance efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
  • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide reports as required
  • Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Work with management to prioritize information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities


Research
  • Conduct desktop research, and using online and other resources
  • Create questionnaires, surveys, polls, and interviews to analyse market sectors, identify new trends and opportunities to support all aspects of international activities
  • Identify, collate and analyse data from relevant units within the University and the market; to prepare analysis reports as assigned.
  • Prepare reports on countries, regions and institutions as assigned


And other duties as may be assigned from time to time based on needs of OIE and its operations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Minimum 3 - 4 years years of relevant and related working experience in data management roles.
  • Experience in systematic and in-depth research of and collating relevant data on business opportunities overseas.
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, familiarity with CRM programs, databases (SQL etc). Programming experience an advantage
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at report writing and presenting findings (reports, pptx etc)
  • Customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Works collaboratively with peers and technical teams at various levels in the organisation
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Diligent, meticulous and able to work with minimum guidance
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to work & achieve deadlines under pressure
